Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to Kohba. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from us. By accessing our website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
Kohba is a trading name of Kohba Furniture Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
Company Number: 15120832
Registered Address: 11 Redstone Industrial Estate, Boston, PE21 8EA
Email: kohbafurniture@gmail.com
Website: kohba.co.uk
We design and handcraft made-to-order furniture from our workshop in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom.
2. Ordering
All orders placed through our website are subject to acceptance and availability.
Most of our products are handcrafted to order. Production will begin once your order has been accepted and payment has been received in full.
Please check all product descriptions, dimensions, finishes, and specifications carefully before placing your order. If you have any questions, contact us before purchasing.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where there has been a pricing error, stock issue, suspected fraud, or any other reasonable circumstance.
3. Bespoke & Made-to-Order Products
Many of our products are made to order and may be customised to your chosen dimensions, materials, finishes, or specifications.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, goods that are made to a customer's specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation rights that apply to distance sales.
As a result, bespoke, personalised, or custom-made orders cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has commenced, unless the item is faulty or not made in accordance with the agreed specification.
Any deposits or payments made towards bespoke or made-to-order products become non-refundable once production has begun.
If you are unsure whether your order is classed as bespoke or custom-made, please contact us before placing your order.
4. Standard Returns & Cancellations
For standard, non-custom products purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.
To exercise this right, you must notify us by email within the 14-day cancellation period.
Once you have informed us of your decision to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Returned items must:
- Be unused and in their original condition.
- Include all original packaging where reasonably possible.
- Be returned at your own expense unless the item is faulty, damaged, or supplied incorrectly.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that the goods have been returned.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
5. Product Characteristics
Our furniture is handcrafted using natural materials, including solid timber and wood veneers.
Natural variations in grain pattern, knots, colour, texture, figure, and movement are part of the character of the material and should be expected. No two pieces of timber are identical.
These natural characteristics do not constitute defects and are not grounds for return or replacement.
Product photographs are intended as a guide only. Colours and finishes may appear differently depending on lighting conditions, material variations, and screen settings.
6. Lead Times
Estimated lead times are displayed on individual product pages.
All lead times are estimates only and may vary depending on material availability, production schedules, seasonal demand, courier availability, and other factors outside our reasonable control.
While we will make every effort to meet estimated timescales, delays do not entitle the customer to compensation or cancellation of a bespoke order.
We will keep customers informed of any significant delays.
7. Delivery
We currently deliver throughout mainland United Kingdom using trusted courier and specialist furniture delivery services, including Royal Mail, DPD, DHL, Evri, Proovia, and other approved carriers.
Delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring:
- Delivery details are accurate.
- Access is suitable for the item ordered.
- Someone is available to receive the delivery where required.
Additional charges may apply where deliveries fail due to incorrect information, restricted access, missed appointments, or customer absence.
We shall not be liable for delays caused by couriers, suppliers, adverse weather, strikes, transport disruption, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
8. Ownership & Risk
Ownership of goods remains with Kohba Furniture Ltd until payment has been received in full.
Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon successful delivery.
9. Pricing & Payment
Kohba Furniture Ltd is not currently VAT registered and no VAT is charged on our products.
Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (£).
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time, although confirmed orders will not be affected by subsequent changes.
Payment methods may include Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna, and any other payment options displayed at checkout.
Where a pricing error has occurred, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.
10. Damaged or Faulty Items
We take great care in packaging and delivering our products.
If your order arrives damaged or appears faulty, please contact us as soon as possible at kohbafurniture@gmail.com.
To assist us in resolving the issue and making any courier claims, we ask that any transit damage is reported within 48 hours of delivery and accompanied by photographs where possible.
Where appropriate, we may arrange a repair, replacement, collection, partial refund, or full refund.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.
11. Intellectual Property
All furniture designs, photographs, product descriptions, graphics, logos, website content, and other intellectual property displayed on this website remain the property of Kohba Furniture Ltd unless otherwise stated.
No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without our prior written consent.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kohba Furniture Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Natural variations in timber, colour, grain, or texture.
- Delays caused by third-party couriers, suppliers, or events beyond our reasonable control.
- Any indirect, consequential, incidental, or economic loss arising from the use of our products or website.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability which cannot legally be excluded.
13. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Customer information is used solely for processing orders, providing customer support, complying with legal obligations, and improving our services.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business, legal requirements, or website functionality.
The latest version will always be published on this page and will apply to future orders placed after publication.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions or the use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
